A brutally cold air mass is currently engulfing large parts of New Zealand, bringing anomalously cold temperatures, strong winds, torrential rains and heavy mountain snow.
Temperatures, particularly in NZ’s South Island, dropped like a stone overnight Saturday, to levels far-below normal for the time of year.
