Det har vært et prestisjeprosjekt for klima- og miljøvernminister Tine Sundtoft. Med millioner av kroner, overført gjennom FNs klimakvotesystem, skulle Norge utvikle viktige, nye klimaprosjekter i fattige land.
Kvotene det er tale om, kommer fra FNs grønne utviklingsmekanisme (CDM). Ved å betale for klimakutt i fattige land, kan Norge gjøre færre klimagasskutt hjemme. Nå viser det seg at ikke et eneste nytt klimaprosjekt er utløst av pengene. I stedet havner mange penger i lommene til store konsern med milliardomsetning.

In the 1960s, an informed but naïve undergraduate, I was walking across the campus of the University of Pennsylvania with the Chairman of the Chemistry Department, Prof. Charles C. Price. He told me that he was president of the United World Federalists, and asked if I knew what that organization was. When I said that I did not, he replied that they believed in a one-world government that would grow out of the United Nations. I was nonplussed as I had never heard anyone suggest that idea before. To me, the United Nations was a benevolent organization dedicated to pressuring the world community in the direction of peace, and to operating charitable programs to help the struggling, impoverished peoples of the world. I imagined the UN as a kind of United Way on a worldwide scale.

We aren't the center the universe everything doesn't revolve around us the planet has warmed and cooled since day one warm ages such as the Carboniferous had much higher levels of CO2 and a great diversity of plant and animal life. Warm is better than cold we had a mini ice age – and the Irish potato famine the CO2 level doesn't have to drop by much and plants can make it it doesn't have to drop many degrees and nothing can make it.
