An unusually cold outbreak is expected with very cold air already starting to work its way southward across the forecast area. Surface cold front has moved into the Colorado plains this afternoon and is stalled along the Laramie Range. Temperatures have fallen into the 40s with Cheyenne`s temperatures now at 50 F degrees after a high of 60 F earlier.
Expect this front to continue moving southwest into the mountains through tonight. Recent webcams along and east of I-25 show that any rainfall has switched to snow with snow reported in Douglas. This trend will continue into this evening.
Everybody loves the Apocalypse. The idea of the end of the world, the more imminent the better, has always had enthusiastic popular support. For as long as weve enjoyed life on this delightful Earth there has been a morose and righteous sect of one sort or another telling us the lease was nearly up, the doomsday bailiff coming any minute now to shut things down forever. And whether from the abrasive thrill of the message, or the melodrama of the scenario, people have lapped it up.
When Erik the Red first arrived in Greenland, the fertile green land was perfect for farming. But within a few centuries the thriving Viking settlements had been wiped out by global cooling. The Little Ice Age is one of many climactic eras that have been scientifically
WORLDThe U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change came to a grim conclusion regarding the rapid warming of the earth, should people not band together to give more power over to the government in order to turn the tide in the fight against climate change. The report definitively concluded that climate change will completely destroy the earth by 2005 if we do not take action now.
A new report by the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warns that mankind only has until 2030 to avert catastrophic climate change.
“Trump is a businessman. Businessmen do not hand over sums like $38.4 trillion without doing a bit of due diligence first. (That sum, by the way, is how much the IPCC insists the world must spend $2.4 trillion per year over the next 16 years if we are to avoid catastrophic climate change. Its the equivalent of the half the global economy.) And as it turns out he is more than right to be suspicious. If you believe the Washington Post, the IPCC report was the work of ninety-one leading scientists from 40 countries who together examined more than 6,000 scientific studies. read more.
