It’s Official! U.S. Withdraws From Paris Climate Accord

The country is in the midst of an undecided presidential election but one of the promises President Donald Trump made to the American people became official on Wednesday as the United States formally withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord.

Trump argued at the time he announced the decision that the international agreement would hurt the U.S. economy and workers and would unfairly cost the country more financially than countries that are bigger polluters, including China.

“In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord,” Trump said.

Slakter Danmarks regjering etter vegetar-avgjørelse:  Feigt og utilgivelig.

Regjeringen har etter dialog med flere fagforeninger, besluttet at det skal være opp til den enkelte statlige, arbeidsplass, om man ønsker å innføre vegetardager eller ikke, sto det i en pressemelding fra det danske finansdepartementet, ifølge DR.

A boundary of cold Arctic air moved farther south than forecasters had originally expected, dramatically dropping temperatures across Alaska and the Yukon.

Kutter i snømåking og livredning – bygger parkanlegg foran skogen.

I løpet av vinteren og våren skjer det store forandringer ved Sognsvann, et av landets mest brukte friluftsområder og en av de mest trafikkerte innfartene til Nordmarka.

I kommunens prosjekt som er døpt «Grønn Adkomst» erstattes parkeringsplassen som har ligget nærmest vannet med et grøntområde. Den asfalterte plassen skal erstattes med en tursti omkranset av 100 trær og 375 busker, som skal danne en entré til skogen.

Australia’s BOM: Strong La Nina, Coolest Tropical Pacific Since 2012.

Data recorded from the equatorial Pacific show a substantial La Nina in place, and falling temperatures with it.

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) here reported on October 27:

“All of the international climate models surveyed by the Bureau indicate the current La Niña will persist until at least January 2021. Most climate models reach their peak in December, before starting to weaken.”
