POLAR CHILL TO GRIP CENTRAL AND WESTERN EUROPE THIS WEEK
Central and Western Europe will kick off meteorological Autumn with a brutal cold blast, with temperatures in some regions forecast to plunge as much as 16C below average for the time of year.
Britain is already feeling the chill, as a polar maritime air mass originating from Iceland and the NW Atlantic has arrived bringing a noticeably cooler start to the week.
